Bottling

How do I register?

Click on the "Register" button the home page. To ask a question you will just need an email address. To answer questions (bottle) you will need to log in and then select "Register as an author"

What are tags?

Tags are ways of narrowing your search. Think of them as contexts. Consider the question: "How do I make it go faster" When the tag "computer" is applied it has a different meaning than when the tag "girlfriend movie". The answers to these two things are quite different. If you receive too many responses from your first search, try applying a tag to help narrow it down.

Tags also help people find things they don't know the words for. If you know your having problems with something in PHP for instance, you could search with that tag and it'll help narrow down your choices.

What happens when an article is marked as inappropriate?

The old gods are angered. Err well, when an article is marked as inappropriate a Mindbottler reviews the article. If we agree the article is suspended and the author is notified. The author also receives one "strike" against their record. Three strikes and the user is banned.

How do I let you know I like/dislike an article?

After logging in click on the "Good Info" button if you liked the article. If you disliked it, click on the "Waste of Time"

Why do you need my Social Securty Number to register as a bottler?

In order to properly report earnings to the IRS we require a valid Social Security Number in order to register as a bottler.

I found spam, how do I let you know?

After logging in click on the "Inappropriate" button on the bottom right side of the article.

How do I report an inappropriate article?

After logging in click on the "Inappropriate" button on the bottom right side of the article.

How do I report an inappropriate question?

After logging in click on the "Inappropriate" button on the bottom right side of the question.

Why is an article listed as suspended?

The most likely reason is that other Bottlers felt that your article was inappropriate. We've reviewed the article and we agree.The article needs to comply with our Terms of Service and then it can be made active again.

Why am I banned?

We follow a three strike rule. If you make three inappropriate articles and they're caught, we ban you. This means that you will no longer receive compensation for you contributions.

What happens when an article is suspended?

When your article is suspended it does not show up in searches, and hence you do not receive compensation for that article.

What happens when I get banned?

You will no longer receive compensation for your contributions. You will no longer be able to bottle questions.

How do I report theft of copyrighted material?

Send an email to abuse@mindbottling.com with the URL to the article you believe violates copyrights. Alternatively you may click on "inappropriate" on the article if you are a registered user.

How long do I earn rewards for content?

As long as you are a member in good standing you are rewarded for your contribution to the Mindbottling community.
